This Won’t Be Your Last
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”. – Genesis 1:28
The Bible is a living book brimming with blessings. When God created man, He released an all-embracing blessing on man. A blessing that covered the spiritual as well as physical aspects of man’s existence. A blessing that assures you of victory in all situations and all spheres of life. Man was richly blessed by God. God bestowed power and authority on man. God gave man special abilities to do and enjoy certain things. One of which was to ‘replenish the earth’. I love that phrase. It speaks of continuity. In Genesis 6, God wiped mankind and all animals from the face of the earth, but that wasn’t the end of man and animal life. Many other generations still came up after the great flood.
When the food in your fridge or store gets finished, when you run out of cash, lack ideas, or can’t seem to find the strength to carry on, don’t lose hope, don’t give up. God will replenish the things that are lost, finished, or dried up in your life.
We see God’s power to replenish in 1 Kings 17:7-6. During the time of drought, the brook that Elijah had been drinking water from dried up. But God came up with another technique to feed his servant. He sent Elijah to the widow of Zarephath, who had received a divine command to supply Elijah with food. The widow of Zarephath also had one last meal in her house. But God replenished the food in her store when she blessed Elijah, the servant of God. The brook dried up, but it wasn’t the last time Elijah saw water to drink. The widow of Zarephath prepared and shared her very last meal, but it wasn’t the last time she saw food to eat. The brook signified a blessing, testimony and miracle from God. Though the brook dried up, it didn’t mean the end of Elijah’s life. It didn’t mean an end to good things in Elijah’s life. When the brook dried up, Elijah had no idea whatsoever of where the next drink and food would come from, but God provided yet again for him. Elijah still had many more blessings and testimonies from God.
Are you facing a similar situation today? Has your own personal ‘brook’; the channel through which you used to get food, water, money, businesses and contracts dried up? God’s word to you today is that this won’t be the last. Though your brook may have dried up, good things will not cease from your life. God will replenish. You may not have the slightest inkling of how and where the next meal, money, or business is going to come from, but you can be rest assured that if God is with you, this won’t be your last. Despite the dry ‘brook’ before you today, you are going to have many more testimonies, blessings and miracles of God’s faithfulness.
PRAYER:
O Lord, let Your power to replenish be activated in my life. In your miraculous and supernatural way, replenish every good thing that has dried up or finished in my life. I declare and decree that good things will never cease from my life.
