It’s common to find Christians talking and praying about the resurrection power during Easter. It seems like it is only when Easter draws near that we remember such a dynamic working power exists. God wants us to experience the resurrection power not just at Easter but every day of our lives. Paul greatly desired to know Christ and the power of His resurrection. He said in Philippians 3:10 “I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings…” Knowing Christ means knowing and experiencing the power of His resurrection.
Go ahead and pray these prayers that will make the resurrection power of Christ part of your everyday life.
Father, to experience the resurrection power is to know Jesus. Lord, Jesus I want to know You more. Put in me a burning passion for Your Word and presence. Please revive my spiritual life and draw me into a deeper relationship with You Lord Jesus.
Father, please forgive me of every sin limiting Your power in my life. Purify my life and cleanse me from all sins. As Jesus was raised from the dead, I declare today that I have been forgiven and washed in the blood of Jesus; I have been raised to a new life. Sin, guilt, shame and condemnation have no power over me in Jesus mighty name. Amen! (1 John 3:3)
Father, Your Word says the dead hear the voice of the Son of God and live. I speak to every dead situation in my life, hear the Word of the Lord and live. I command every dry bone, very dead and hopeless situation to come alive today (John 5:24-25).
Father, just as Your resurrection power came on Christ and it moved Him out of the tomb, Lord let Your resurrection power overshadow me and move me from the place/level my enemies expect and desire me to remain in (Mark 16:6).
Father, just as Your resurrection power surrounded the tomb Jesus was laid and the stone that was used to secure Jesus to the tomb was rolled away, let Your resurrection power surround me and roll away every satanic stone securing and holding me down to a particular level spiritually, physically and financially. Let every obstacle placed before me to keep me from moving forward in life be rolled away by the power of God (Matthew 27:65-66, Mark 16:4).
Father, just as Your resurrection power went ahead of the women that went to anoint Jesus’ body and they discovered that the stone they were wondering how they would move had already been rolled away before they got there, Lord let Your resurrection power go ahead of me and solve spiritual, marital, financial, health, educational issues in my life that I have been wondering how to resolve. Let me begin to discover that in Your love and mercy, You have already taken care of issues I have been troubled about. Let Your resurrection power put an end to fretting in my life; let solutions to problems, answers to prayers come speedily and with ease (Mark 6:1-4).
Father, just as Your resurrection power was able to roll away the large stone that was used to close the tomb Jesus was placed in, I pray Almighty Father that today Your resurrection power will locate me and roll away every problem in my life no matter how big, large or impossible the problem appears to be. Nothing is too difficult for You; Lord let Your resurrection power begin to solve hard, complex and complicated problems in my life, family, church and nation (Mark 16:4, Jeremiah 32:37).
Father, just as Your resurrection power filled Jesus and He could not be stopped by any power; death could not hold Him down and He was able to complete the work of redemption, please fill me each day with Your resurrection power so that no person, demon, agent or force of darkness will be able to stop Your purpose for my life (Acts 2:24).
Father, as Your resurrection power gave Jesus overwhelming victory, let Your resurrection power go with me on the battlefield of life and give me overwhelming victory when enemies, principalities and powers of darkness come against me or when troubles and challenges of life come my way. Let Your resurrection power give me amazing victories and testimonies this year. I declare that because Christ lives, I can face and overcome whatever is in my tomorrow. I overcome through Christ Jesus any situation that comes my way. I am a victor not a victim. I am more than a conqueror (Ephesians 1:19-21, Romans 8:37-39).
Father, just as Your resurrection power came upon my Lord Jesus and the burial clothes that had been placed on Him were removed, Lord soak my life in Your resurrection power and let every burial cloth; let every garment of mourning, pain and sorrow the enemy has placed on me or prepared for me be removed from my life right now in Jesus mighty name. AMEN! I shall live I shall not die; I shall live to declare the glory and goodness of the Lord. My life, the life of my spouse, children and family members shall not be cut short in Jesus mighty name. AMEN! (John 20:6-7, Psalm 118:17).
Father, because there is a hope and assurance of a day when the trumpet will sound and the dead in Christ will rise, please help me to always be in Christ and live for Christ. Help me dear Lord Jesus to live each day prepared for Your coming. Help me to be faithful with the work You have committed into my hands so I am not ashamed and left behind when You return in glory to gather those who are eagerly waiting for You (Hebrews 9:28, Luke 12:35-38).
