Give Thanks

When you see a new day,

Give thanks to God.

When you go to bed and the bed is not a hospital bed,

Give thanks to God.

When you can lift and drop objects, open and shut doors,

Put on and put off your clothes, write or sign your name,

All done with your own hands,

Give thanks to God.

When family, friends and even foes pass on,

And you are still living and breathing,

Give thanks to God.

Give thanks to God not just on special occasions,

But for every good, simple, ordinary,

Exceptional and special blessing God has given you.
