CITY OF ZION
Come, come, I bid you come,
Come into the beautiful City of Zion;
The resting place and habitation of Adonai,
The placed loved and chosen by Yaweh,
The place we declare His glory and hail His majesty,
And a glowing wall of fire shields and defends us.
Come, come, I bid you come,
Come into the Redeemed City of Zion;
For here captives are delivered and set free.
The yoke of suppression and oppression ceases,
Shackles and chains that enslave are smashed to pieces,
And the incurable and afflicted receive their healing.
Come, come, I bid you come,
Come into the secured gates of the City of Zion;
Where the righteousness of God is brought near,
Divine justice won’t be twisted but maintained,
Salvation shall go forth without delay,
For it is time, the set time for Zion.
Come, come, I bid you come,
Come into the Ransomed and Restored City of Zion;
Here we trust in the King of the City who rises to show us compassion.
Indeed the dew of Hermon settles there,
The blessings of the Lord are directed there,
And the River of joy flows continuously to make glad the people of God.
Come, come, I bid you come,
Come into the Glorious City of Zion.
A Precious, Chosen and Tested Cornerstone has been laid,
Though once laid on a cross, now comes to your aid.
Though once rejected by the builders is now highly exalted,
And as you look to Him, your life is salted and can’t be abruptly halted.
