Who is With You?

God never said there won’t be waters to pass through or rivers that want to overwhelm us.
He never said storms won’t roll in, waves won’t come up. What He said was that when difficult and trying times come, He will be with us.

For everyone going through troubled waters whether it’s in your health, finances, career, walk with God, ministry, marriage, family life or education, the question to ask yourself is who is with me? It’s good to have friends and family around you. They can provide support and encouragement when life gets tough, but you need more than that. You need the One that can silence every storm and bring peace to troubled waters. You need God by your side. When God is with you, even though there’s a river to pass through, a serious problem that comes your way, you won’t drown or die in that situation. God is our place of safety, our shelter and hiding place from the storm (Isaiah 25:4).

There are many questions that run through our minds when faced with a storm; a trial or challenge. Why is God allowing this happen to me? Am I being punished for a sin? Is this a sign that I lack faith or my faith is too weak? Is my life under a siege or demonic attack? Why didn’t God even warn me that something like this would happen? All these are questions that need answers, but the most important question to ask yourself is who is with me? Who can love me, stand by me and help me out of any storm whether it is a storm that came as a result of my sin or carelessness, a storm brought about by a spiritual attack, or a storm being used to train and refine me; to separate the chaff in my character from the wheat, the dross from the gold, the things that don’t glorify God from the things that bring praise and glory to God.

If God is for you, no river, no storm, no problem or challenge can be before you, against you and submerge you. If you look around you and God is not with you, then there’s a big problem. But if God is with you and by your side, you will survive, you will make it, you will overcome that situation in Jesus mighty name. Amen!

With Jesus in the boat of our lives, we know that though the waters rage, there is pain, panic, trouble and pandemonium, as long as we call out to the Lord for help, Jesus won’t allow the boat capsize. The storm will be stilled, the peace of God will rule and reign over that situation. No matter how turbulent the storm; no matter how serious, how long, how painful the problem, don’t take your eyes off the Lord, don’t let go of the hand of God. He is the anchor for your soul, the anchor that keeps your faith firm and steadfast when the winds and waves are blowing hard against you; when you are battling with one problem after the other. He is the lifeline that you cling to and you are pulled out of rivers of affliction that want to overwhelm you to a place of peace and victory.

PRAYER

Father, speak peace to every storm in my life. Strengthen my faith to hold onto you and not lose faith or compromise my faith when the storms of life come my way.

Indeed God will never allow our boat to capsize Amen. May never allow us to compromise our faith due to circumstances.
